As we age, we sometimes require extra care and support and so may our loved ones and carers. At the Hospital of God, we have dedicated carer support workers who can provide advice and support to carers of people living with dementia or memory problems.
We have carers support workers based in East Durham and Hartlepool, and each of our day centres has a dedicated member of staff to support carers. Our support workers can provide practical and emotional support for carers, as well as advice and information if you require this
If you feel like you would benefit from speaking to a carer support worker, face to face appointments can be made at your convenience and at a venue that suits you. If you would prefer a telephone call, just contact your nearest day centre who will be able to arrange a convenient time for someone to speak to you.
Our carer support workers also run Memory Lane Cafes in Hartlepool, Horden, Seaham and Wheatley Hill, and other locations.
